ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONTINUATION OF SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM : The United States Department of Agriculture has extended waivers for school divisions to provide school meals at no cost to all children 18 and under through June 30, 2021. Attached is information that may be shared with parents and staff members to ensure they are aware of this update. Families should still fill out a 2020-2021 free and reduced meal application if they have not done so already.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) SCHOOL CLOSURE
Bedford County Public Schools still remains closed  to the public, but essential appointments can be made by calling your child's school.

The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has developed a parent resource on how to talk about COVID-19 with your child. The CDC provides daily updates and health-related guidance in regards to COVID-19 if further information is needed for your family.

FLU SEASON AHEAD!!!
Influenza can be a serious disease, especially in the very young, the very old, and in people with certain medical conditions which make them vulnerable to the effects of the flu.  Because no vaccine provides perfect protection, to prevent outbreaks of the flu it is important that as many people as possible be vaccinated.
